About The La Crosse Lighthouse

Our Mission

The La Crosse Lighthouse provides outreach, advocacy, and connection in a home-like environment where people seeking a self-directed path to recovery and wellness can do so with the support of people who have shared similar experiences.

Our Values

At The La Crosse Lighthouse, we believe in the power of community, peer support, and individual choice. We strive to provide a sanctuary where people can heal at their own pace, whether they need rest, privacy, or engagement with others. Our values include self-determination, mutuality, authenticity, dignity, lifelong learning and personal growth.

Our Vision

We envision a world where connection, support, and respect for individual choices inspire positive social change and healing. Through compassion and peer support, The La Crosse Lighthouse aims to foster a culture that values each person’s unique path to wellness.

Our Home Environment

Located in La Crosse, WI, The La Crosse Lighthouse offers a peaceful, private, and secure environment for guests. We provide:

  • Private Bedrooms: Each guest enjoys a private bedroom with a lock for added privacy. One bedroom on the first floor has an attached bathroom for added convenience.

  • Shared Spaces: Guests have access to a full kitchen, community room, and other amenities like art supplies and support groups.

  • Tranquil Setting: The house is nestled in a safe residential area, less than a mile from hiking trails and the nearest bus route, offering a serene environment for healing.

“From the moment I learned about The Lighthouse, I recognized that having this resource available to our community was going to be a game changer.  It gave me hope for myself and for our community.  I’m grateful to everyone here and to everyone involved for making this place a reality.  I’m proud of our community for supporting this project, it’s so needed, thank you to everyone!"
